ENGLISH super-middle champ TONY
DODSON has been ordered to fight
PAUL DAVID and the vacant English
welterweight strap will be contested
by CRAIG WATSON and MATTHEW
HATTON, the Board has ordered.
Purse bids are on Wednesday,
November 14, the contests to
happen by the end of March.
In an English title fight already
made, NIGEL WRIGHT defends the
light-welter belt against former
conqueror LENNY DAWS on a
Hennessy Sports show on
November 14 in Bethnal Green.
The mandatory defence for EBU
light-middleweight champion
ZAURBEK BAYSANGUR0V against
JAMIE MOORE goes to purse
bids at the EBU Offices in Rome
on November 21.

FIRST Team Promotions have
announced a show at
Wolverhampton Civic Hall on
Thursday (October 25). The show is
topped by Midlands Area and
British Masters champion DARREN
McDERMOTT bidding for the British
Masters International title.
The undercard features
prospects DEAN HARRISON,
TRISTAN DAVIES and ROB HUNT.

FORMER WBC super-middle champ
MARKUS BEYER wants to come
back in either autumn or early
winter but has been told by his
promoter Wilfried Sauerland that
there is no room for him on his
three remaining shows this year.
Jurgen Braehmer has been mooted
as a future foe.

PROMOTER Spencer Fearon was
delighted with the attendance at
his dinner show in Wapping last
week.
The former fighter sold out the
venue and a crowd of more than
400 people, including the likes of
rugby league star Martin Offiah,
footballer Sol Campbell and
sprinter Dwain Chambers enjoyed
the action (see page 21).
Other guests included John
Conteh, Charlie Magri, Jason
Matthews, Lloyd Honeyghan and
Steve Collins.

BRITISH super-featherweight champ
Carl Johanneson doesn't enjoy the
luxury of an easy return after he was
mauled for the European title against
Leva Kirakosyan in four rounds in July.
Instead, his belt is up for grabs
against Manchester's former two-time
champ Michael Gomez at the
Doncaster Dome tonight (Friday,
October 19)
