REAL life "Rocky" contender John Westgarth of Newcastle
(rather than Philadelphia) gets the chance of a lifetime
and, no doubt, the fulfilment of his wildest dreams when he
steps in at late notice to challenge for the vacant European
heavyweight title against Norwegian Steffen Tangstad in
Randers, Denmark, tonight (April 18).

round decision over Italian champion Francesco
Prezioso at the Palace Lido.
Marsh will now challenge another Italian, Patrizio
Oliva (whose manager Rocco Agostino was at the
show), for the WBA version of the world title in July
in Naples.
