SALT LAKE CITY — March 10: The thunderous right hand hitting of Danny "Little
Red" Lopez brought him yet another spectacular victory as he knocked out Spain's
Roberto Castanon in two rounds at the Salt Palace to retain his WBC featherweight
title for the sixth time.

RUDI KOOPMANS falls short with a right cross against Aldo Traversaro
of Italy. But Koopmans got through with enough to stop Traversaro
in the sixth and take his European light-heavyweight title.

ANOTHER convivial meeting of the London Ex-Boxers' Association, and among the
200 attendance were four representatives from each of three associations, namely
Sheffield, Slough and Sussex, also Jimmy Griffiths making one of his frequent

getting together. As one member remarked to me: "If you've never been to a LEBA
meeting, you've never lived." And 52 of the Leicester Association are expected for
LEBA's next meeting on April 1.
