ON THE ABA CHAMPIONSHIP TRAIL

WBC featherweight champion Paul "Hoko" Hodkinson puts his title on the line at London's Olympia on
Wednesday against Puerto Rican Ricardo Cepeda, with domestic showdowns against John Davison and
Colin McMillan looming for later in the year. But while Hodkinson will be trying to hold onto his No. 1 spot,
former world welterweight champion Lloyd Honeyghan gets one final bite at the cherry when he challenges
Mickey Hughes for the Commonwealth light-middleweight title at Brentwood tomorrow. Full previews inside.

WELSH featherweight champion Steve
Robinson took a major step on to the international
stage with a comprehensive victory
over a lack-lustre Paul Harvey which earned
him the vacant WBA Penta-Continental title.

ITALIAN veteran Gianfranco Rosi retained his IBF light middleweight
title and cleared up any controversy with a split majority
12 round decision over French challenger Gilbert Dele.
Rosi had outpointed Dele on a hotly contested verdict at
Monte Carlo last July - even the Italian press considered their
fighter lucky - but this time there was no doubt who was the
better man.
