BERMONDSEY flyweight Mickey Cantwell finally met someone his
own size in the form of Carlos Manrigues and took full advantage of
the opportunity by stopping the Mexican in five rounds at the York
Hall.
Former double ABA light-flyweight champion Cantwell came in at 7st
lOlbs for this scheduled eight round main event — emphasizing just
how much real weight he must have been conceding in his previous
four professional contests.
