World middleweight title against

Rome tomorrow (Saturday).
Monzon has made a good impression
in training, but is unlikely
to disturb the reign of
King Nino, whose record in the
Eternal City is 31 wins in as
many fights, including a spectacular
knockout of Luis Rodriguez
in a title defence a year
ago.
The Palazzo Dello Sport has a
capacity of 15,000. Nino will
receive 100,000 dollars and Monzon
15,000 dollars.
Monzon laughed when he saw
the posters advertising his world
title fight.

now making a comeback,
edged out a close decision over
hard-hitting Holdorf, ranked third
in Germany, when a Midlands
select beat a team from Schleswig
Holstein by 7-3 on a dinner show
at Penns Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield.
Edwards took the bout at 24 hours
notice and was not in condition after
being out for over a year but scraped
through with better left hand work.
Big surprise was the defeat of
Maurice Goodwin, ABA heavyweight
finalist and former Open Police
champion, who was stopped
now making a comeback,
