KELL BROOK is furious with the
comments Amir Khan made on Twitter
over the weekend.
Khan, preparing in the Philippines for
a May 19 rematch with Lamont Peterson,
Tweeted allegations about Brook's private
life and their Twitter
battle descended into
name calling, before the
former world champion
deleted his controversial
Tweet.
Brook, who returns
to the ring on July 7
in Sheffield following
his one-sided victory
over Matthew Hatton last month, wants
vengeance in the ring.
"It's a huge fight for British boxing but
you wonder how much he [Khan] cares
about British boxing," said Kell. "I think
this is a natural fight but who knows what
the future holds. I will just keep trying to
do my thing, work hard, try and be a good
role model for the kids, a good father and
keep trying to do British boxing proud. I
can't pretend I don't want the fight [with
Khan], of course I do. The things he has
said, the way he has disrespected me...
Oh man, best I don't say anymore really."

surgery on Monday (April 2) to repair
two tears in his right shoulder.
The light-middleweight contender
suffered the Injury during his recent
controversial win over Carlos

the ring for three to four months

scorecards, Kirkland dropped Molina
at the end of the 10th round before
referee Jon Schorle disqualified

REIGING World and European
champion Katie Taylor is on
a winning run. On March 23,
when Ireland and Holland's
women's teams clashed at the

The Bray boxer was back in

the result against Leddy the
following day at a tournament
in the Dungarvan Sports Centre,
Waterford.
This sequence of contests is all
part of Taylor's preparations for the
women's World Championships in
Chin anext month (May 9-20), their
only Olympic qualifier. She has now
joined the training camp of Ireland's
male squad currently taking place
in Ukraine.
