HARRY WAS SO NICE
I FIRST met Harry Carpenter in 1954 when I
was a Scottish international. A nicer person
you could not wish to meet. I turned pro in
1955 and during my career got to know
someone who was a great writer but most of
all a great man. It was a great privilege to have
known him and I send my deepest sympathies
to his family.
