ON August 16 the Yorkshire ABA sent
a team of seven boxers to Canada for a
match against an Ontario select. It took
place at the Fallsview Casino, which
looks on to Niagara Falls.
The Yorkshire group, led by Martin
Utley (Association Coach) and Team
Manager Mick Ryan, are pictured right
and feature Joe Rodgers (Parson Cross,
Sheffield - captain), Nicola Adams
(Sharkey's, Leeds), Adnan Khan
(Bateson's, Leeds), Thomas Marcon
(White RoserWakefield), Jordan
Knowles (Sheffield Lane Top), Gary
Habbin (Handsworth, Sheffield) and
Phil Callaghan (Al, Leeds).
