Moore's in a hurry
JAMIE MOORE'S wife Coleen gave birth to a baby boy
last week at 6lbs 7oz. Moore said it gave him even
more incentive to win back his British light-middleweight
title from Michael Jones next month (July 8).
If having their first child is anything to go by, Jones
had better be on his guard. Jamie obviously doesn't
hang about. He and Coleen have been married only
nine months.

Pinder: another date
MANCHESTER'S Wayne Pinder finally faces Lorenzo Di
Giacomo for the EU middleweight belt on July 22 in San
Mango d'Acquino, Italy.
The fight has been on and off several times, as seems
the norm with Italian boxing these days.

Barnes stripped
OH, misery. David Barnes not only suffered his first
pro defeat earlier this month, but he has now been
stripped of his British welterweight title.
Barnes took the Commonwealth title fight with
Joshua Okine on condition that he accommodate
official domestic challenger Jimmy Vincent on
Frank Warren's July 16 Bolton bill topped by Matt
Skelton v Danny Williams.
