Conflict of interest, Glenn?
WTTMOUT questioning the integrity of former IBF cruiservreight
champton Glenn McCrory, the situation at the
Bephant & Castle Leisure Centre last weekend, when
he commentated on a fight featuring Alex Mason, who
had lived at his house during training to challenge
British super-middleweight champkxi David Starie and
is coached by brother Gary McCrory, raised one or two
eyebrows.
Glenn did his job and fairiy, but had, say, the fight
been ctose, and McCrory scored controversially for
Mason, no doubt questions would have been asked.

Mosley won with a hennia
IF having a hernia adversely affected his performance,
one can only wonder what Shane Mosley might have
done to Antonk) Diaz in New Ywk last month had he
been in perfect health.
Mosley's promoter Cedric Kushner claims Mosley
suffered a hernia on November 4, retained his WBC
wetterweight title two weeks later by stopping Diaz in
six, then had an operatkm on November 20.
Mosley is set to defend against No. 1 contender,

Scott's EBU nomination
THIS year was a good one for Glasgow's Scott
Harrison, and 2001 could be even better. Rrst comes
Richie Wenton for the vacant British featherweight title
in Peterborough on January 29, then a shot at the
vacant EBU crown against Spain's Manuel Calvo.
