IT IS not difficult to see how the
partnership between Chris
Eubank (pictured) and promoter
Frank Warren, however cordial
and lasting, will be
mutually beneficial.
On Monday it was announced that
Eubank, the former WBO champion at
middle and super-middleweight, had
been offered a place on Warren's
extraordinary October 11 pay-perview
show at the Sheffield Arena, to
challenge undefeated light-heavyweight
puncher Mark Prince, also
promoted by Warren, for the WBO
Inter-continental crown.

BILLY HARDVS European featherweight tide rematch with Frenchman
MEHDI LABDOUNl, which had been rescheduled for Fontenaysous-
Bois, outside Paris, on October 11, was called off again after the
challenger's promoter - who won the purse bids - notified the EBU he could
not go ^ e a d with staging the match.
The contest, which would be Hardy's first since losing in a round to
Naseem Hamed in May, has gone back out to purse offers, which must reach
the EBU by October 6. The match must take place by the end of November.

Patrick Mullings and Martin
Krastev, both former Oliver victims,
was called off when the Harrow
southpaw sustained a back injury in
training.
