CLINTON McKENZIE, a champion for years but still one of
boxing's "nearly men", puts his British light-welterweight title on
the line for the sixth time on Wednesday.
On this occasion the challenger is 26-year-old former Royal
Marine from Basildon, Terry Marsh — and the place is a new
boxing venue, the Britannia Leisure Centre in Hyde Street,
Shoreditch.

SOUTHERN Area champion ROCKY
KELLY gets back into action with a
title defence against London rival
JOHNNY ANDREWS.
Kelly's all-action style should blend
nicely with Andrews' box-fighting.
They met as amateurs when Andrews
won on points — and there will be
those who feel he can repeat the
decision over the 10-round course.

MARVIS FRAZIER is
due back in the ring on
October 23 in his first bout
since being stopped in one
round by Larry Holmes last
November.
Marvis, 24-year-old son of
Smokin' Joe, suffered a torn
tendon in his right leg when
sparring with heavyweight
cousin Rodney Frazier last
January.
His first fight back is scheduled
to be against Bernard
Benton, the Detroit fighter
who stopped Monte Masters in
June and licked Pierre Coetzer
in South Africa in July.
If the fight, set for Atlantic
City, materialises it's a good
test for Marvis.
