T H E R E was a lime when boxers gave scant attention
to their opponents. Their managers would book
t h em a fight and t h e y ' d simply turn up with the basic
necessities, ready to fight. The finer details didn't
concern them too much: that sort of thing was taken
care of by the manager.
The o p p o n e n t ? Well, it d i d n ' t really matter. After
all, he was only human, with a full set of limbs and
