UNBEATEN Frank Bruno looks booked for another easy
win when he takens on Argentinian champion Juan Figueroa
at Wembley over 10 rounds on Tuesday.
This is not the most demanding match for Frank. In 26
fights Figueroa has been beaten five times, drawing once,
and no fewer than four of these defeats were inflicted inside
the distance.

SCOTTISH expatriate Steve Watt, Hayes (lOst 81bs) had an easy repeat win
over Battersea's Dominic Bergonzi (lOst 81bs), who was counted out by
referee Larry O'Connell in the third of their main event on Greg Steene's
Porchester Hall promotion.
The fight was programmed for eight rounds, but was twice announced by
MC Dickie Waterhouse as "six three minute rounds", without argument
from either corner.

SCOTTISH welterweight champion Jim Kelly fought aggressively
to outpoint Welsh light-welter title-holder Geoff
Pegler of Swansea in their eight rounds main event at the
Normandy Hotel.

V I K I N G ' S JOHNNY MELFAH,
last year's ABA lightmiddleweight
finalist, is out of
this year's title hunt. He was
outpointed on a majority decision
by the taller STEVE PIGGOTT
of Exeter after three pulsating
rounds at the Western Counties
stage at the City Hall.
