BRITISH middleweight champion Mark Kaylor
continues to learn his craft with an acceptable and
educative match against US veteran Ralph Moncrief
in the 10-round main event at the Albert Hall on
Tuesday.

BRITISH light-middleweight
title challenger JIMMY CABLE
will have to kick his heels a little
longer for a crack at champion
Prince Rodney who has been
sidelined with an eye injury sustained
in sparring.

JIM BRADY had two outstanding achievements to his credit during his ten year career. He was one of the very
few boxers to win a championship on New Year's Day, and he picked up another title for which he was not
qualified to fight.
Born in Dundee, he was a top-line performer almost from the start. The fans liked him for his energetic
boxing ability, his courage and his tenacity. He was always fit for a fight and ready to do battle with anyone. His
name is rightly added to those ringsters of which Scotland can be proud.

WITH the Los Angeles Olympics looming on the horizon
England's 6-4 victory over Ireland at the Leisure Centre,
although entertaining, contained a depressing note.
The stage, alas, remained essentially domestic with no one
emerging from either side as an Olympic medal hope.
England clung on in the final exciting minutes to clinch
the match through super-heavyweight Bobby Wells.
