unbeaten light-heavies by outboxing Chelmsford's —
Lennie Howard in the eight-twos main event on Billy

TALK ABOUT going at it hammer and tongs. The

and Jaime Garza will rank with the most explosive
one-rounders ever.

the fourth time to win a European title in Italy as he was
unanimously outpointed by Neapolitan taxi-driver Ciro de
Leva.
EPSOM & EWELL staged an excellent 11-bout show at Norbiton
Working Men's Club, when Kingston's T. Murphy gained a
popular victory over Tooting's tough D. Spillane.
Murphy boxed with cool authority, impressing with fine
combinations punching to head and body.
Strong, brave Spillane was never prepared to yield and kept
coming forward. But Murphy always had the edge. Fans were
delighted when the lads received trophies for the best bout of the
evening.
HEROL GRAHAM has a hometown warm-up when he
meets Mourad Serguene, a French-Algerian based in
Paris, in the 10-round main event on manager Brendan
Ingle's show at the Sheffield City Hall on Monday.
Serguene's record is hard to trace but he is reckoned to
be a rough and ready type, who should come to fight. He is
highly placed in the French middleweight ratings.
