BRILLIANT young flyweight Charlie Magri floors Bryn Griffiths
at Bethnal Green this week. Magri won in two rounds, to clinch
his British title fight against Dave Smith at the Albert Hall on
December 6. Ringside report — page 2.

FLYWEIGHT sensation Charlie Magri did the expected as
he slammed ex-amateur rival Bryn Griffiths to
second-round defeat before a packed, and wildly
enthusiastic, crows at York Hall.
Referee Mike Jacobs called it off as Griffiths bounced up
from his third knockdown of the fight, and his second of
the round.

ROBBIE DA VIES settled all the arguments clouding his debut win, when he did a
two-round demolition job on Bootle's Joe Hannaford in the top-liner on Mike and
Charles Atkinson's oromotion at the stadium.
