paced himself well to lift the vacant Midlands Area heavyweight title by
convincingly outpointing Leicester's brave Eddie Fenton (13-9l/2) over 10 rounds
at Digbeth Civic Hall.

defends his title against one-time sparmate Tony
Poole at York Hall, Bethnal Green on Tuesday.
