ANGER , raw and ugly, looks certain to surface
tonight (Friday) at Atlantic City as Iron Mike Tyson
defends his world heavyweight supremacy against the
challenge of ex-champion Larry Holmes.
The undefeated Tyson publicly snubbed Holmes at
a press conference in New York last month, refusing
to shake the old champ's proffered hand.

TWO OF Britain's brightest prospects duly extended their
unbeaten runs at the expense of outclassed imports in this
televised show at the Welsh National Sports Centre.
Camberley welter George Collins took his tally to 29 with a
first round stoppage of the game but inept Luciano Fernandez,
from Mexico, while local hero Floyd Havard needed two
rounds to dispose of Texan Mario Salazar.

BRITISH featherweight champion Robert
Dickie had a useful warm-up for next
month's defence against fellow Welshman
Peter Harris with a comfortable eight
rounds decision over flashy but combative
Arvell Campbell of Milwaukee.

COMMONWEALTH lightweight champion Mo
Hussein is in the strange and invidious position of
coming to the first defence of his crown with two
losses behind him as he faces Bright Spider of
Zimbabwe at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on Wednesday,
(January 27).
