IN THESE days of divided honours and disputed championships, winning titles at
two different weights is still regarded as a major achievement.
When those titles are a stone apart in weight, the success is all the more
significant. But when the titles in question are German and the boxer who won
them is from Huddersfield, the matter becomes intriguing.
Horace Fleary is the man in the spotlight.
He achieved his unique double on February 28 this year by knocking out Tomas
Mateoi in two rounds for the German International light-middleweight championship.

DONALD. This, the first of thee get-togethers, took place in Zetland ABC's club
premises and featured 25 potential Scots participants who combined Junior
Squad training with controlled sparring supervised by National Coaches Tom
Brown, Bob Forsyth and Jim Melrose.
