FRANK WARREN has signed promising RYAN
RHODES from Brendan Ingle's Sheffield stable.
The teenage middleweight, who is tipped for the top,
will make his debut on the Naseem Hamed-Armando
Castro bill in Glasgow on January 21.

JAMES TONEY'S defeat to Roy Jones in Las Vegas last month cost him
an estimated $30m.
The Michigan fighter, who went after his manager Jaclcie Kallen
with a gun only days after losing his unbeaten record, was said to be
one fight away from a five-year contract with Time Warner Sports for
15 fights, three fights every year.
Now Jones' camp are seeking a similar deal and the new IBF supermiddleweight
champion's lawyer Stanley Levin said Jones would be willing
to fight for any promoter, including Don King, on a one-fight deal.

EVANDER HOLYHELD has fired Shelly Fmkel as his manager. Fmkel,
who handled the former world cruiserweight and heavyweight champion
since he turned pro in 1984, opposes the 32-year-old's comeback.
Finkel said the break was amicable, that he received a letter from
Holyfield thanking him for his help, praising him for his efforts, but
then added that he would no longer be needed.
The New York-based Finkel said he knew it was coming, but could
not support Holyfield's comeback after the former champion was temporarily
suspended because of a heart problem.
