HEROL "BOMBER" GRAHAM took just
100 seconds to kayo fellow-southpaw
Jimmy Price and capture the vacant
British middleweight title at Shoreditch
last week. Afterwards he issued a challenge
to world champ Marvin Hagler.
Report and more pictures — pages 2-3.

HEROL GRAHAM duly added the British middleweight
title to his list of championship honours when
he sensationally kayoed Jimmy Price after just 100
seconds of their match at the Britannia Leisure Centre
for the crown vacated by Tony Sibson.
The triple champion (European, British and Commonwealth)
at list thus became the first British
light-middleweight champion to win the middleweight
crown. Some indication of the achievement may be
given by the fact that the feat was beyond future world
light-middleweight champion Maurice Hope, who was
stopped by Bunny Sterling in June 1975 at the National
Sporting Club, but went on to win the WBC list
crown.

THE featherweight clash between Floyd
Havard of Penyrheol and John Davison of
Grainger Park in tonight's George Wimpey
ABA Championship Finals at Wembley Arena
could be worth the entrance fee alone.

FANS were well entertained by Hector "Macho"
Camacho as the flashy southpaw from New York's Spanish
Harlem won a unanimous 12-rounds decision over Mexican
champion Roque Montoya to win the vacant NABF
title on the Tubbs-Page bill.
