Sibson hits the glory trail again

Title road stays open for Mwale

Johnson wins but it's time to quit

Penprase does it in style

SHAVERS TRIES AGAIN

MERSEY STARS HEAD FOR WEMBLEY AGAIN

TONY SIBSON fought with calculated aggression to
take the vacant Commonwealth middleweight title
after 15 interesting, but unspectacular, rounds
against capable Zambian Chisanda Mutti, reports
MIKE LOCKLEY.
It was a thoughtful showing from Sibson, who controlled
with his jab after failing to make an impression with his
early two-fisted aggression.
Mutti, who held a good three inch height advantage over
the former British title holder, came with a brawler's
reputation, but proved himself to be a polished professional,
with an upright style. He showed an impressive economy of
movement and was always dangerous with chopping right
handers.

BIG shocks in the South East London Division boxing
championships at Lewisham Concert Hall on Monday
included the elimination of London champions Micky
O'Sullivan and his Fisher clubmate Lloyd Honeyghan.
