NIGEL BENN hopes to increase the pressure on Chris Eubank by
carrying out an impressive job on Dan Sherry at the Alexandra
Palace in North London, on Wednesday (February 19).
Benn makes no secret of his intentions: a revenge summer match
with WBO super-middleweight champion Eubank. Judging from his
recent comments, Eubank is none too keen on the idea, but the fight
would draw huge money - and eventually that may be the deciding
factor.

YOUNG England international Kelly Oliver edged
out reigning Midlands ABA light-heavyweight champion
Neil Simpson on a majority decision in the
Midlands North Zone finals.
After a very close opening round, 21-year-old
Simpson won the second, before Oliver rallied to
win the last. It could genuinely have gone either way,

THE COLD weather and road conditions were responsible
for a smaller attendance than usual at the February
meeting of the London Ex-Boxers' Association, but this did
not deter a stalwart contingent from Bournemouth EBA
making the trip, including chairman Peter Fay, secretary
Les Smith and former fighter Ken Wells.
