THE brief note in this paper a couple of weeks back about former
world champion Rolando Bohol being arrested for rape needs
some clarification. Philippines journalist Joaquin Henson reported
that the whole episode was a put-up job by Bohol's former
manager with a fake medical report and some painted on bruises
to make it look right. Despite an admission by the ex-manager,
the actual "victim" has not yet officially withdrawn her complaint
so poor Rolando is still on the hook.

I LOVE hearing about reunions. Many EBAs hold them,
and now comes news of a rather unusual Royal Air Force
Reunion, which is planned for Bristol on November 27.
The instigator is Bob Vodden, RAF lightweight representative
who is inviting all who boxed for the RAF in representative
matches 1954/56 inclusive, plus any others
who were in the boxing squad at that time. He writes:
"Members included Brian Harper (London), Dick McTaggart,
Bruce Wells, also Tex Woodward, former Britannia
Shield rep, and the venue is Tex's Spaniorum Farm Gym,
Compton Greenfield, Bristol.

he meets JIMMY THUNDER for the heavyweight
