THE FIERCE domestic rivalry between light-middleweights
Andy Till and Wally Swift reconvenes
for a third time at the Albert Hall on Wednesday
(April 14) when Till makes the second defence of his
British title.
This rematch of last year's Fight Of The Year
promises to be another savage, all-action occasion.
At stake is not only Till's crown, but also outright
ownership of the Lonsdale Belt.

KANSAS CITY - March 31: Tommy Morrison scored a
third-round knockout over Dan Murphy in front of
his home crowd in preparation for his June 7 date
with George Foreman at the Thomas and Mack Center
in Las Vegas.
Murphy went six rounds with WBC champion
Lennox Lewis in May 1990, but is nothing more than
a survivor.

THE London Ex-Boxer's Association was well
represented among the 270 guests at the 42nd
Annual Dinner of the Boxing Writers' Club on
April 1. There were vice-presidents, Reg Gutteridge,
Charlie Magri and Frank Warren (plus
myself), also chairman Micky O'Sullivan and
treasurer Ray Caulfield. BWC secretary Frank
Butler did his usual marvellous job of organising
the function.
