WE HAVE certainly taken the second division titles to
our hearts. Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank have
benefitted greatly from the WBO middleweight crown
and Chris Pyatt has had a shot at the WBO
light-middleweight title. The WBC introduced their
International titles to help Third World countries but
we s e em to have hijacked them. We have more current
champions, Kid Milo, Tony Collins, John Davison
and Donnie Hood, than any other country.
Second division titles they may be, but Benn against
Eubank made both men rich and both Davison and
Hood have made money and their names through the
International title.

LENNOX LEWIS has been ordered to defend his
European heavyweight title against former IBF cruiserweight
champion Glenn McCrory. Lewis' British title
will also be on the line. The EBU have set a deadline of
May 31 for contracts to be lodged.
But the new double champion, who stopped previously
undefeated Gary Mason in seven rounds at
Wembley earlier this month, could meet an American
opponent in May before defending
against McCrory.
