ARGUMENTS raged at the Royal Albert Hall after
Gypsy Johnny Frankham was awarded a 15
rounds points victory over Chris Finnegan to win the
vacant British light-heavyweight title.
 
IT WAS like a man against a boy as Cardiff's
seasoned Pat Thomas systematically wore down and
finally halted Jeff Gale, of Leeds, in the 11th of their
scheduled 12 rounds British welterweight final
eliminator at the National Sporting Club.
 
BUNNY STERLING, his mysterious wrist injury now
completely healed, has no doubts that he can take
over his old British middleweight title when he meets
light-middles champ Maurice Hope for the vacant
crown at the National Sporting Club on Tuesday.

Roden, has his second pro bout when he meets Barnsley southpaw
John Sagar over eight two's. Mitchell, former Midlands Counties
amateur finalist, stopped Alan Cable in his first pro appearance.
