ENGLAND'S star amateur and crack light-middle Jim Lloyd has
now officially discarded the amateur vest and applied to the
Board of Control for a pro licence. Lloyd has teamed up with
popular Bermondsey manager Len Cottrell, who also handles
Phil Lundgren and Pat O'Cirady and will be moving to this
famous fighting area soon with his wife and baby son.

LASZLO PAPP of Hungary, former triple Olympic title-holder,
Is now professional middleweight champion of Europe. At the
Vienna City Hall he defeated the holder Chris Christensen of
Denmark, the bout being stopped at the end of the seventh round
when Christensen had a cut by the left eye.
