LAST WEEK'S TV fight between Phil Edwards and Pat O'Grady from Bermondsey produced the usual argument on the merits of both boxers, and obviously with the New Year in mind reader Leslie Thomas of Merthyr challenged me to find one boxer from each Jetter of the alphabet who is as yet unrated and who is likely to do well in 1962. Well, I never refuse a challenge, so here goes, Leslie. I have also given details of the year's record for each boxer, and any other information that I think may be of interest.

BELFAST'S John Caldwell floors Frenchman Alphonse Halimi in the 15th and final round of their World's bantamweight title battle at Wembley Pool. Tire Irishman won the title on points.

DARTFORD'S Dave Charnley fails in his second attempt to relieve Joe Brown of his World lightweight crown at Earls Court in April. The American won a 15-round disputed points decision.
