MANNY PACQUIAO, who turned
34 on Monday (December 17), will
undergo extensive brain analysis
when he returns to America
according to his promoter. Bob
Arum. The Filipino lost via brutal
knockout-to nemesis Juan Manuel
Marquez on December 8 and is in
Israel for Christmas, but Arum will
insist on the tests following their
violent fourth encounter.
"I have to take him to the
Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas," said
Arum. "We'll do an extensive brain
examination before we commit him
to fight."
Arum hopes to stage a fifth
installment of the rivalry in
September 2013. Part four
generated approximately
l.lSmillion buys in America and the
Nevada State Athletic Commission
have confirmed that the drug tests
of both combatants came back
negative.

UNBEATEN heavyweight American
hope Deontay Wilder, who
improved to 26 wins via 26
stoppages by defeating Kelvin Price
last weekend, has praised David
Haye and Wladimir Klitschko for his
progress.
Wilder has been brought in
for sparring by both in the past
and says his training with the
heavyweight stars has made him a
better fighter.
"David is a cool guy," he said of
the Englishman. "People say he is
arrogant, he's this, this and this
but he is only that way when the
cameras are on him, when they
aren't on him, he's a nice guy.
Sparring [with him] was great, I
handled my own there. He thought
I was just as fast as he was if
not faster. It was one of my first
confidence-builders for fighting
someone world class. That was
the first camp that really started
everything off for me."
And being part of Klitschko's
immense operation for his recent
bout with Mariusz Wach took things
up another level.
"It was a priceless experience
to be at the champ's camp," 'The
Bronze Bomber' continued. "To
be able to do the things I did in
the ring it was an over-the-top
confidence builder for me. You can't
buy anything better than that. You
can't beat sparring."
Wilder hopes to visit the UK to
face Britain's top heavyweights
next year, although promoters
Golden Boy will likely want him to
stay in the USA.
"I can't wait to get over there,"
he said. "I have sparred David and
Richard Towers is a good friend
of mine. I think [David] Price [is a
bigger threat than Tyson Fury], He
has more skills and he's a little bit
better."

JOHNNY GREAVES rang to say
our report from the December 7
Wishaw show had the weights the
wrong way round in his fight with
Mark Parvin.
"I was lOst SIbs and Mark lOst
10 l/2lbs," said the East Ham
southpaw. "You said it was an easy
fight for Parvin, but then he was
way over the agreed weight of
lOst 3lbs."

FLASH Cincinnati star Adrien Broner
sees himself as tlie Ineir apparent to Floyd
Mayweather's pound-for-pound title but
has ruled out a future clash between the
two stars.
Although only a lightweight, Broner
wants to win titles all the way up to-lightmiddlewelght
before calling
time on what looks like
being a decorated career.
He took part in a
charity basketball game
with Mayweather Jnr in
Los Angeles on Sunday
and says he has already
crossed over into
mainstream America.
"I think I did that already," he said.
"Things happen for a reason and right now
I'm at an all-time high and things are only
going-to get bigger and better from here.
So just keep watching."
