Looks easy, Tyson
• ALTHOUGH Mike Tyson badly needs a win, his friend
and new trainer Jeff Fenech is going through a rough
spell results-wise.
In fairness, although Fenech's stars Nedal Hussein,
Danny Green and Hussein Hussein have all lost
recently, they faltered in major fights.
Tyson is expected to have a relative pushover
when, as is expected, he returns at the MCI Center
in Washington DC on June 11. Slow Irishman Kevin
McBrlde heads the list as opponent.
IT LOOKS as if Danny Hunt's British lightweight
title eliminator with Dave Stewart on April 29 may be
pushed back. We hear there may be a few complications
with the cut Hunt suffered against Lee Meager last
time out.
Kindelan on way
• MY colleagues back in London tell me it has been
confirmed by the ABA that Mario Kindelan, reigning
World and Olympic lightweight champion, is on his
way to Britain.
Kindelan was named as part of the Cuban team who
will box in Liverpool on April 8.
What price Kindelan then facing old foe Amir Khan
in Bolton on April 16?
MC Mike Goodall gave the finals a
feel of importance seeing as he has
MC'd numerous world title fights in
the pros. He got off to a bad start
when the trousers of his "penguin
suit" split. Pro that he is, he always
carries a little sowing kit with him.
