Hamed in June?
NOTHING is signed and therefore definite regarding
Naseem Hamed boxing Michael Brodie
But a date and venue (MEN Arena) of June 7 in
Manchester has been tentatively scheduled. An official
announcement is reportedly imminent
Brodie's manager Jack Trickett said on Sky TV last
Saturday he'll believe it when he sees a signed contract.
Brodie, though, insists Naz has told him directly the fight
will happen.

Sanigar certain
CHRIS SANIGAR had just seen the tape of the Danilo
Haussler Gtenn Cattey fight when he rang us on his
mobile to say: "The cut was clearly caused by a straight
right hand."
He was referring, of course, to a cut champion Haussler
suffered in the very first round which referee Bob Logist
deemed was caused by a butt
It led to the European 12st title rematch going to the
scorecards in the fifth and Haussler retaining via a
technical decision.

and European middleweight champion, is to
defend his belts against mandatory domestic
challenger Scott Dann on a Hennessy Sports show in
April.
But first Howard - who has scored three wins in
the last four months - may top the bill at York Hall,
Bethnal Green on March 5.
