Potter rematch
^ E heavyweight rematch between Mark Potter and
I Keith Long takes place at the Elephant & Castle
Leisure Centre on May 27. Potter's Southern Area title
is at stake.
Potter was considered an unfortunate points loser
when they met at Wembley Arena last November, and
both have hit good form since. Mark stopped Danny
Watts to win tlie Area crown, while Long clearly outpointed
Harry Senior earlier this month.
The Elephant show also features a second Southern
Area match for the vacant welterweight belt between
Kevin McCartliy and Adrian Chase.

Clinton vow
CLINTON WOODS, who tomorrow at Wembley
defends his European light-heavyweight crown
against mandatory contender Ole Klemetsen of
Norway, is disappointed at having to vacate the British
crown.
"I wanted to make it mine outright" he said via
e-mail. "But, as you know, I have to defend my European
title and have been promised a world title eliminator.
"If things don't turn out the way I hope, I'll be back
to clean up the British scene and claim the Lonsdale
Belt outright."
