COLIN DUNNE'S vacant WBU
lightweight title against former
challenger Zoltiui Kalocsai at York
Hall, Bethnal Green on November 28
will be promoted by Stephen Munro
and John Hyland.
The chief support on the non-televised
show features former European
and Commonwealth bantamweight
champion Johnny Armour in a 10-
rounder, as well as Liverpool supermiddleweight
Danny Peters.
"Dunne's looking good," said manager
Terry Toole. "He's up for it and a
win should open a few doors."

SECONDARY to Hamed-Kelley at the Garden next month is the WBO
super-bantamweight clash between JUNIOR JONES and KENNEDY
McKlNNEY. Jones' manager Gary Gittelsohn, In Las Vegas for the Holyfleld-
Moorer clash, said a mandatory defence against Liverpool's RICHIE WENTON
(pictured left), the former British super-bantamweight champion, would be a
logical next fight should the WBO king retain his title.
"But McKlimey's by no means an easy fight," he said. "Junior's in training in
West Palm Beach, Florida. He has just finished woridng out alongside Holyfleld
in Houston. But we want to strike while the Iron's hot. I'm only disappointed
Hamed's first fight in America Is ctgalnst Kelley and not us."
The speculative date of July 4 for Hamed-Jones is not impractical either and
Gittelsohn says he would be only too happy if the showdown could happen
that eariy. "But I think Frank Warren Is looking towards fsdl [autumn]," he said.

Britain's Herbie Hide, the
WBO champion, has been
suggested as a possible target,
but 1 could not think of a more
inappropriate foe than the
quick-handed Englishman from
Norwich.
Jones would have a better
chance against George Foreman,
but the idea of him winning
a heavyweight title is
ludicrous.

H N N Y TAPIA, the WBO and IBF super-flyweight
^ ^ c h a m p i o n , has signed with promoter Don King.
" His first fight for King will be in Miami on December 13
against Andy Agusto.
Vince Phillips will defend his IBF light-welterweight
title against Freddie Pendleton on the same show.
