Manners tried to come forward, but
simply didn't do enough work, while
Busby kept on the move and scored
effectively at long range. The Yorkshireman
had occasional successes: a right
to the side of the head In the third had
Busby grabbing for safety, but Busby

WITH his crown tottering and blood spurting from
his left eye, rugged WBA light-welterweight king
Juan Martin Coggi (lOst), Brandsen, Argentina,
stormed into challenger Eder Gonzalez (lOst),
Barranquilla, Colombia and decked him twice
within 30 seconds before referee Richard Steele
was forced to stop their wild rematch at 2:01 of the
third round at the MGM Grand Garden.

Completing the family line-up is big
brother Byron, who started it all with a
junior A title in 1991; he meets Stuart
Green from Islington whose three title
attempts in 1993 all ended in favour of the
other corner.
'All the threes' bingo syndrome might
be appropriate in Birmingham. As well as
the Pryce brothers, Hornchurch & Elm
Park have a trio of title challengers; the
afore-mentioned Darren Cook plus Nicky
