Aldnwande stayed on course for a crack at one

an easy stoppage of the giant American Stanley

AUSTRAUAN Jeff Fenech, the former IBF bantam
and WBC super-bantam and featherweight champion,
is to make a comeback as a super-featherweight after
surgery to repair his damaged right hand next week.
Fenech, 31, expects to be back in the ring before the
end of the year. The brawling former champion has
not boxed since he was knocked out by Calvin Grove two
years ago.
MOTHERWELL Phoenix ABC coach Peter Harrison - father
of European under-19 gold medalist featherweight Scott
Harrison - has been offered the post of national coach to
the Palestinian Boxing Federation.
The offer comes as recognition for the work Peter has
done with Glasgow University-based Palestinian physical
education student Raschid Judeh, who has won three out
of four contests boxing as a light-middleweight for
Harrison's club.
