WORLD champ Larry Holmes lands a perfect right to the chin of James "Bonecrusher" Smith whom he stopped on
an eye injury in the 12th of their IBF title fight in Las Vegas last Friday. It was Larry's 46th straight win and he needs

STEPNEY'S J im McDonnell (9st l'/2lbs) scored his 11th straight pro win by stopping old
rival Steve Pollard (9st 2'/2lbs) of Hull in the sixth round of a scheduled eight-rounder at
the York Hall.
A right hand to the chin dropped Central Area champ Pollard for eight in the sixth and
he was quickly under more pressure.
Referee Roy Francis stepped in after 2:40 of the round with Pollard taking punishment
against the ropes.
