CENTRAL Area middleweight champion Brian
Anderson meets Belgian Philippe Seys, brother of
the better known Jose, in a top-of-the-bill clash
at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday.
The show, which starts at 3 pm, is being staged
by Alma Ingle, wife of Brendan, and also sees
local boy Glyn Rhodes meeting Manchester's
Muhammed Lovelock over 10 rounds for the
vacant Central Area lightweight title. Rhodes is
managed by Brendan Ingle.
Commonwealth
light-middleweight champion Nick
Wilshire meets Canadian Danny Vandal.
Wilshire won his title with a two-rounds cut
eye stoppage over Ken Salisbury of Australia on
the last Albert Hall show in June.
His two professional defeats have both come
against Jimmy Cable, the second in February
1984 for the British title
ENGLAND international John Lyon is enjoying life at the
moment.
The Greenall St Helen's boxer is convinced he has a
future as a flyweight.
Looking fit and well whilst training with the England
squad at Crystal Palace, Lyon said that moving to the
higher poundage had relieved him of having to constantly
watch his food and liquid intake.
BALHAM-hased All-Ireland light-heavyweight title holder
Harry Cowap has his stiffest test to date at the
Elephant & Castle Leisure Centre on Monday when he
meets former British champion Tom Collins in an eight
threes.
